WOODOKU+ PRIVACY NOTICE

This Privacy Notice describes how Tripledot Studios Limited ("TDS," "we," "us" or "our") collects, stores, uses and discloses your information when you use Woodoku+ - Wood Block Puzzles (the "App"), as well as your rights and choices about such collection, use and sharing.

 

Please read this Privacy Notice carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your information and how we will treat it.

We may revise this Privacy Notice periodically, and any such revisions will be reflected by the "Last Updated" date above. Please revisit this page to stay aware of any changes. If we make material changes to this Privacy Notice, we will provide you with additional notice within the App.

2. WHAT DATA DO WE COLLECT

2.1 Game Profile Information

When you play the App, we use Apple's Game Center for authentication. Your Game Center Player ID, which is a unique identifier provided by Apple that allows to authenticate you and associate your game progress with your Apple ID, is persisted on the device and is never transmitted to the cloud. We do not collect your name, email address, or other personal identifiers directly.

To enable you to continue your game across devices, we store your game progress including levels, scores, and unlocked items, along with a CloudKit User Record ID (an app-specific identifier assigned by Apple) used to store and retrieve your cloud save data in your personal iCloud account.

This data is stored in your personal iCloud account and remains under your control. We cannot access your iCloud account or other data stored in your iCloud.

2.2 Technical Data

When the App connects to our content delivery network to retrieve weekly gameplay events and content updates, we collect IP address, user-agent string (device type and operating system), and application version. This information is used for systems monitoring, troubleshooting, and security. No user-specific or engagement analytics is sent to or stored by TDS.

2.3 Customer Support Data

When you ask for assistance from our Customer Support team, we collect the contact information you provide (typically your name and email address) and store the correspondence you choose to share with us.

2.4 What We Do Not Collect

The App does not collect:

  • Your name, email address, or contact information (unless you contact us directly for support)

  • System data such as photos, precise location, address book, microphone, or camera

  • Browsing history or search history

  • Financial or payment information (the App has no in-app purchases)

  • Advertising identifiers or tracking data for advertising purposes

  • Any information from third-party analytics services for advertising or profiling purposes

  • Health or fitness data

3. How we use your data

We process your personal data for:

  • service delivery (based on a performance of a contract)

  • troubleshooting technical issues and ensuring the App functions properly (based on a performance of contract)

  • responding to your questions and providing assistance (based on our legitimate interest)

  • preventing fraud and enforcing our Terms of Use (based on our legitimate interest)

  • complying with applicable laws and legal processes (based on our legal duties).

4. WHEN WE SHARE INFORMATION

In delivering the App to you, we may share your information with:

Service Providers: We share information with service providers that perform services on our behalf, including:

  • Apple Inc. (provides Game Center authentication and CloudKit cloud storage)

  • Amazon Web Services (hosts our content delivery network for game events)

  •  

We do not share data with any third party to use for the third party's own purposes. All service providers are contractually restricted from further sharing the data and from using the data other than for the purpose of the agreement.

Government Entities/Law Enforcement: We may share your information with law enforcement and public authorities as necessary to comply with legal obligations.

Business Transfers: If our business enters into a joint venture, or another business entity purchases, acquires or merges with our business, your information may be disclosed or transferred to the target company or new business partners.

We do not sell or share your personal information for advertising purposes.

5. HOW DO WE PROTECT YOUR DATA

We implement reasonable and appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect the security of your personal information. All data transmitted to CloudKit and our CDN is secured using industry-standard encryption protocols. Data stored in CloudKit is subject to Apple's security practices, including encryption at rest. We limit access to your information to employees and service providers who need it to perform their jobs.

6. DATA RETENTION

We retain your personal information for as long as needed to provide you the App, unless we are required by law to delete it or if we accept your request to delete the information.

CloudKit Data remains in your private iCloud container until you manually delete it through your iCloud settings. Apple may also automatically delete this data when you delete the App, though timing may vary based on Apple’s policies. No personal data is stored by the CDN. Technical logs are retained for a limited period for operational purposes, then automatically deleted.

7. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

The App is designed to be enjoyed by players of all ages, including children. We are committed to complying with applicable children's privacy laws, including COPPA. Underage players are treated identically to all other players, and only non-personal gameplay data is collected. We do not knowingly collect directly identifiable personal information from children under 13 without parental consent.

If we learn that we have unintentionally collected personal information from a child under the applicable age, we will delete that information. If you believe that we might have collected personal information from or about a child, please contact us at privacy@tripledotstudios.com.

8. YOUR RIGHTS

Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including:

  • Access and Correct: Request access to the personal data we hold about you and correct any inaccuracies

  • Delete: Request deletion of your personal information

  • Data Portability: Receive your personal data in a structured, machine-readable format

  • Object: Object to our processing of your personal data under certain conditions

  • Withdraw Consent: Withdraw your consent to processing where we rely on consent

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at privacy@tripledotstudios.com. Wemay ask you to provide your Game Center Player ID or other identifying information to verify your identity. We will typically respond within one month, although a longer period may be permitted under applicable law.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority if you believe we have not handled your personal data appropriately.

 

8.1 How to Manage Your Data

To stop using Game Center and cloud save: Disable Game Center in your device settings and delete CloudKit data through Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > Manage Storage > Woodoku > Delete Data. To stop participating in weekly events: Delete the game from your device. To delete all data: Delete the game from your device and manually delete CloudKit data from your iCloud settings.

9. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

We may transfer information to other countries where we or our service providers operate, including the United States. We provide appropriate safeguards to protect your personal data, including applying standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission or other safeguards recognised by applicable laws.

10. SPECIFIC PROVISIONS FOR CERTAIN REGIONS

For EU/UK/Swiss Residents: Tripledot Studios Limited, 1-2 Charterhouse Mews, London, United Kingdom, EC1M 6BB is the "data controller" responsible for the processing of personal data in connection with the App. We have appointed TripleDot Poland (Warsaw, Ul. Towarowa 28, 00-839) as our representative in the EU pursuant to Article 27 GDPR.

For California Residents: Please see the California Disclosure section below for specific disclosures under California privacy laws.

For Other U.S. State Residents: Residents of certain U.S. states may have additional privacy rights under applicable state laws. Please contact us at privacy@tripledotstudios.com to exercise any rights available to you under your state's privacy laws.

We use the personal information we collect for:

  • Service delivery - Authenticating you, saving and syncing game progress, delivering weekly gameplay events

  • Technical support - Troubleshooting technical issues and ensuring the App functions properly

  • Customer support - Responding to your questions and providing assistance

  • Platform protection and fraud prevention - Preventing fraud and enforcing our Terms of Use

  • Compliance with legal obligations - Complying with applicable laws and legal processes

 

11.4 Disclosure of Personal Information

We disclose personal information to the following categories of third parties for business purposes:

  • Service Providers - Apple Inc. (Game Center and CloudKit), Amazon Web Services (CDN hosting), Cloudflare Inc. (CDN proxy services)

  • Affiliates - Our parent company, affiliates, or subsidiaries

  • Government Entities/Law Enforcement - As required by law or to protect rights and safety

We do not sell your personal information. We have not sold personal information in the past 12 months, and we do not sell personal information of minors under 16 years of age.

We do not share your personal information for advertising purposes. The App does not contain advertisements or behavioural tracking.

 

11.5 Your California Privacy Rights

California residents have the following rights:

Right to Know: You may request that we disclose:

  • The categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you

  • The categories of sources from which we collected your personal information

  • The business purposes for collecting your personal information

  • The categories of third parties with whom we share your personal information

Right to Delete: You may request that we delete the personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions.

Right to Correct: You may request that we correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.

Right to Data Portability: You may request that we provide your personal information in a portable format.

Right to Opt-Out of Sale/Sharing: You have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. As noted above, we do not sell or share your personal information.

Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information: You have the right to limit our use of sensitive personal information. As noted above, we do not collect sensitive personal information.

Right to Non-Discrimination: You have the right to exercise your privacy rights without discrimination.

We will need to verify your identity before processing your request. We will typically respond within 45 days of receiving your request.

Authorised Agents: You may designate an authorised agent to make a request on your behalf. We will require written documentation demonstrating the agent's authority to act on your behalf, and you will need to verify your identity directly with us.

 

California Civil Code permits California residents to request certain information about our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not share personal information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes.

 

11.7 Do Not Track Signals

The App does not track users over time or across third-party websites and therefore does not respond to Do Not Track (DNT) signals. We do not allow third parties to collect personal information about your online activities over time or across different websites when you use the App.

12. CHANGES TO THIS NOTICE

We may update this Privacy Notice to reflect changes to our data and information privacy practices. If we make any material changes, we will notify you by means of a notice on the App prior to the change becoming effective.
